Introduction

Your Organisation/Employer may require you complete a second factor authentication, or multi-factor authentication (MFA) check.  The type of authentication check varies for every organisation/employer.  


Authentication Methods

Below are the different authentication methods a available in EASY.  Just skip to the section that is appropriate for the type of authentication you are being asked to provide.  You will see the authentication method requested in the area indicated in the image below.

Security Word

You will see the following panel where you are required to provide 3 characters from your security/memorable word.  Enter the characters requested in the appropriate fields, and then click on the Authenticate button.


Authenticator App

Open your authenticator app and select the option that relates to your EASY user account.  Enter the code that is showing on your authenticator app in the Code field, and then click on the Authenticate button.


PIN

Enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number) in the PIN field, and then click on the Authenticate button.


Email

Where your Organisation/Employer has enabled the facility to send an authentication code in an email, you will receive an email similar to the one below with the authentication code (one time password) that you need.

Enter the authentication code in the email that you receive into the Code field shown in EASY,and then click on the Authenticate button.


SMS

Where your Organisation/Employer has enabled the facility to send an authentication code in a text (SMS) message to your mobile phone, you will receive a text (SMS) message similar to the one shown in the image below with the authentication code (one time password) that you need.

Enter the authentication code in the email that you receive into the Code field shown in EASY, and then click on the Authenticate button.


On clicking the Authenticate button you may then be taken to the Home page, or to another page within the EASY system.


When you click on the Cancel button, that will clear the field(s) for you to re-enter the authentication code, PIN, or security (memorable) word characters.  For the email and SMS authentication methods, it will also result in a new authentication code being sent to you.
