Introduction
Your Organisation/Employer may require you to create, or set up, a PIN (Personal Identification Number) with the EASY System. You may then be prompted to provide your PIN when you log into EASY, or when you perform other actions within the system.
This article explains the screen that you now see in EASY, and the steps involved in setting up your PIN.
Creating a PIN
A PIN is a secret number, and you will need to choose the number that you want to use as your PIN . However, your Organisation/Employer may require your PIN is no less than a certain number of characters. As it is a secret number, you should keep it to yourself and not disclose it to anyone.
Follow the steps below to create your PIN.
1. In EASY, you will be presented with a screen similar to the one shown below. Enter your chosen PIN in the PIN and Retype PIN fields, these are the top 2 fields.
2. Now enter your password in the Password field, and then click on the
button. You should enter the password you use to log into EASY, or the one that you may have just set up.
3. If your chosen PIN is one that is commonly used in passwords or as a PIN, an error icon will appear next to the PIN field. When you hover your mouse pointer over the error icon, an error message saying "very commonly used" will be displayed.
In this situation, you will need to choose a different PIN and enter it in the PIN and Retype PIN fields before clicking on the
button.4. When the system has accepted your security (memorable) word, you will be taken to another page in EASY, which will vary according to your circumstances.
Forgotten your Security Word
If you have forgotten your security (memorable) word, you will need to contact your local system support team who will need to apply a setting on your user account. The next time you log into the EASY system, you will be required to create a PIN by following the steps in the Creating a PIN section above.
